\"\"<\/a>This is custom recovery for axioo Venge2 model. You will need this custom recovery to get root and install custom rom. I made this on 2 flavor, TWRP and CTR. CTR was at version 6.1, build using lineageos-13 tree and the TWRP is at version 3.1.0.0 and build using omni-6 tree.
\nUnfortunately, I cannot make the touchscreen works on the TWRP version, tried all possible way to get it done but no luck so far. So for now, this TWRP version is useless because you cannot navigate within twrp without touch function, worse, there are no usb otg feature on this model due to lack of hardware usb-host support.
\nIf some of you are rom developer and know how to patch the kernel for the touchscreen to work, please please let me know.
\nHowever, the CTR version is working well with this device, of course with the same disfunctioning touchscreen but you can use the device button to navigate, \u2026 and I recommend you to use this release.<\/p>\n

HOW TO INSTALL :<\/strong><\/h3>\n

To install this custom recovery, you need\u00a0SPFlashTool program which only available on winblows os platform so \u2026 really sorry, I cannot support it because I never use and don\u2019t have winblows. You may refer to this tutorial : MT65xx Flashing Tutorial<\/a> it is very well explained by Bruno Martin.<\/p>\n

Please be really careful using SPFlashTool, especially when flashing ROM not for your device, since it may bricked your device forever.<\/p>\n

Scatter file you might need : MT6737T_Venge2_Android_scatter.rar<\/a><\/p>\n

Of course you also can flash this custom recovery using linux or specific apk such as mobileuncle tool or recovery tool, but that\u2019s another story.<\/p>\n

HOW TO REBOOT INTO CUSTOM RECOVERY :<\/strong><\/h3>\n

To enter the custom recovery mode is pretty easy on this model, just completely power off the device until you feel the device vibrate, indicating it was totally shutdown. Then, hold down Volume Down button then press Power button, hold them both until you see 3 menu list appear, Recovery, Fastboot and Normal.
\nScroll or choose between item using Vol down button and select them using Vol up button. On this case, choose Recovery then press Vol up button, wait a sec or two \u2026\u00a0 then you\u2019ll be entering recovery mode. There are also many apk on playstore such as Quickboot, RecoveryTool, \u2026 etc, that can do reboot into recovery directly from alive system, use any one you like.<\/p>\n

HOW TO ROOT :<\/strong><\/h3>\n

After installing this custom recovery, you can install root and Superuser as usual, I recommend to use latest chainfire SuperSU<\/a><\/p>\n

  • On a first install this custom recovery, you have to enter the recovery mode immediately after flashing, otherwise the stock rom system protection will restore back the stock recovery and you lose what you just did.
